Episode 2, Mud Bug Boogie

What a mess!

Audrey is on vacation in some amazing island spot. Which is fine, we can get by with 2 of us. Then disaster strikes.

Natalie eats something, or was exposed to something - hell, in her case, she could have just LOOKED at something - and BAM! - she's itching everywhere. Monday, we had our pre-show meeting (Yes, I know we sound stupid - but we actually do try to put thought into this show) and she kept taking off her shoe to scratch her foot. Then her palms start itching. The next day she stops by - she's scratching everywhere. Then I start scratching, because I'm a good friend - if not a little paranoid and mental.

So, last night I text Nat to see if she's going to be able to do the show. No Response. Panic. Should I call her DH to make sure she's still breathing? What about the show? How can she do this? Why can't she stop thinking about herself and her itchies and JUST DO THE SHOW?!?

This morning, she texts, "Not coming in." I died a little in that moment. Because although I have a lot to say...Who wants to hear me talk for 45 minutes non-stop? Plus I'm on some new meds that might be impacting my creativity - so what if I drone on for 45 minutes about the plight of lost australian snow birds?

But I'm nothing if not a trooper. I immediatley called my friend Becky, whom I have asked to do some guest spots on the show, and begged her with everything I have to co-host with me today. I'm talking down on my knees, I love you, blah, blah, blah. It was the truth. It was a lie. It was whatever Becky needed to hear to make her agree.

She made me wait TWO HOURS for a affirmative. If I wasn't so grateful, I would have hurt her. Real bad.

But it all worked out. I sent Bec the agenda and like the pro that she is, she showed up 15 minutes before air time with notes and printouts so she could contribute. I heart her and will never be able to repay her generosity.

So...there you go. Episode two. Meh.

Maybe next week, I'll graduate to a "Meh" and a shoulder shrug.

And maybe I'll learn how to answer the phone.

Whatever.

Jersey Shore 4-EVER!!! Fist Pump!!!

"She Said What?" -- Episode One

Hello. This is Natalie, and I'm going to do our first re-cap of our VERY FIRST EPISODE! ....drum roll please.....

So, the show was "okay". I think we definitely have it in us to provide our audience with a better listening experience and that the more we do this, the better we'll get. We're going to pretend like the first 1.30 minutes was not us laughing so hard we couldn't speak and instead was some kind of catchy, witty, and quirky opening segment!

Today's show focused on celebrities a little more than we wanted too, at least in my opinion, but definitely brought out some good laughs (I hope you in internet land were listening, anyway!) We started out pretty basic, giving a little bit of background information about ourselves...I'll repeat it here because I want you to tune it, but the rest, I'm leaving out! You'll just have to tune into Funky Fresh Girls Blogtalkradio to hear more!

Dylan is our married with children rep. She's fun and quirky and the most important thing to know about her is that she's obsessed with all things English....especially Robert Pattinson. This could result in some interesting episodes in the future so be sure to stay tuned!

I'm Natalie and I represent the DINK in the group (double income, no kids!) I'm fun-loving, bitchy at times, but ultimately the social butterfly. The most important thing to know about me is I'm desperately in love with Sean Connery and Anderson Cooper. YUM!

Audrey is our on the prowl divorcee. She is currently hitting the dating scene although she's finding it less than impressive and is still holding out hope that David Beckham will divorce 0l' what's her name and come find her (hey, we all have our fantasies!)

We're basically doing the show because we want to share all the random ravings of our daily lives with you! I know, you're super excited, right?

There are just two more things you should know: don't take offense, we're always joking, and be sure to tune in next week because it keeps getting better from here!

be sure to keep it FUNKY FRESH!

FFG out!
